She has appeared on television, radio shows, and podcasts. She is a homegrown healer, business owner, nutritionist, herbalist, writer, author, mother, lover. A successful entrepreneur, Sarah founded Roots in Nature Pty Ltd (Buchi Brew Co.) a nutrition, gut health and fermentation enterprise operating across Australia, and is now the director of Sacred Women’s Way and Temptress Apothecary

She has been an ambassador for Australian Certified Organic (ACO) and the Australian Chemical Free Community, and an ongoing active member of Slow Food Australia. Sarah was an Australian delegate and presenter at Terra Madre International Slow Food Conference in Turin, Italy in 2017.

If we want to get down to academic qualifications, Sarah has undergraduate degrees in public health and post graduate qualifications in psychotherapy, women’s studies, nutrition and environmental health. Sarah was awarded her PhD from the University of Melbourne and post-doctoral research fellowship from the University of Queensland and was awarded an international scholarship from the University of Sydney. Her first book was released in 2009, Chemical Free Kids: Raising Healthy Children in a Toxic World, is a bestselling publication and has gone into its third reprint. One Bite at a Time: Reduce Toxic Exposure and Eat the World You Want was released in 2017 and her latest book is Forage Ferment Feast: Tales of Food and Family with Recipes for Restoring Gut Health, Connection, Healing and Wholeness was released in 2019. Sarah’s tertiary studies were guided by growing up on a rural farm, her passion for the natural world and the healing properties of whole foods – plants, herbs, fats and oils – and her reverence and wonder of the human body and soul, which has that innate ability to heal and create creation itself.

Stemming from this reverence, Sarah founded Temptress Apothecary a herbal enterprise that formulates of herbal healthcare blends that are symbiotic with nature and that can be used in everyday ritual, reverence and pleasure in the home. Sarah also founded and is the owner and Director of the Sacred Women’s Way, an organisation that sits in part of a global remembering, a re-emergence of taking back womb consciousness and the ushering in of a new paradigm of awakening our divine feminine on the planet. The foundation of Sacred Women’s Way is in curating pathways for women and men to awaken their potential, and innate power through ancient ritual and embodied practices. She is currently, and will always, be guided and mentored by many wise women, continuing her own growth with teachers in areas of herbalism, meditation, womb consciousness, and breathwork. Headquartered in Brisbane Australia, Sarah lives with her two beautiful daughters, lover, Cavoodle, stray cat and delightful fish.
